The connection between dialogue , voice over , sound effects and music is that they all create the meaning of what the film is about . The diegetic sound is the dialogue which means the characters can hear it and on the other hand sound effects , voice overs and music is added later to add more impact rather than just dialogue . Music can relate to dialogue as if the music is calm the dialogue most likely will be funny , comical and not very serious . On the other hand if the music is tense there might not be much dialogue and if there is the dialogue would be much more stricter and stronger . In this sequence music is connected with voice over as the volume and the music changes as each thing is said . Also the music in this sequence is played all the way through which helps link everything up .
Sound effects is a vital element for a film like X-Men as it makes it look that it's there and real . It also has impact because it might make the spectator jump and feel different at certain points of the film . If the spectator hears a certain sounds that one the characters make they will be able to relate later on in the film to the character .
Additionally these four elements are very important as they give sense and create tension throughout a film . If a person only saw visual and didn't hear anything they wouldn't be as engaged and entertained , I think the music in it's own way is telling the spectator what is happening at each point of time as in this case the music seems friendly therefore the message is that this part isn't tense .
Voice over is also another vital element that is used in this sequence . The point of the voice over is to tell the story about the characters and what is happening in the film to the spectator .
