Production Talk notes

M – The story line starts when the kid Tytus comes to a new school and gets introduced by the Head teacher . He meets the bullies and shows of his powers
C – It could be more realistic so the character builds up the power as he goes through the story
S – The power could be a secret so only the audience see it .
M – There will be a problem with casting extra characters and we don’t actually have real actors that could act .
S – We have Osman and Leticia who could act for us but one of the roles would have to change . We need a teacher who could do the teacher role or a parent .
C - We need to plan out our time and we cannot mess about .
M – Yes I agree with Caleb as this is 2 units we need to work quick .
S – A week and a half on filming and then a week and a half on post production . So we will have a week left to polish everything up .
C – Keep in mind we going to need more time for pre production .
C – We also need to work out who can act for us as soon as possible .
S – The location has to be in Long Road .
C – We need to figure out the exact location in Long Road . We going to get some chicken burgers after this .I’m hungry .
S – What does it mean by the range of VSX
C – It’s the amount of Effects we going to use in our sequence .
M – We can use the flying effect and I can show you how to do it so It’s no problem .
S – Are you sure we going to make it work .
C – Yeah we should be able to do it .
S – We need to make sure we can achieve it .
M – If we plan everything right I think we can make this work just right .
S – The narrative of my story is a girl who has no self esteem and gets bullied and later on gains powers and falls in love with her dad.
C – What is her power ?
S – Her power telepathy and she can freeze people and she falls in love with the bully .
C – What are the characters ?
S – There is Simon who is the bully . Jessie the progonist . Mr Billroad who is a teacher . Rose and Kaden who are friends of Simon .
S – Mr.Billroad is horrible he is a horrible teacher doesn’t care about the students especially towards Jessie . C – Jessie ir really nervous isn’t she ?
S – Yes she’s is and Simon is very confident , hard shell on the outside and then very soft on the inside .
C – We need to cast five people for the characters and unknown amount of extras . The time will be the same as for Moddy’s idea .
S – The location is at the entrance of the Long Road and near the bench where we normally sit at . We also could use this classroom .
C – I got one classroom in mind too .
S – One of the effects I got in mind is the tornado effect
C – I think that would work .
M – I don’t know if we can do it though .
C – If we can pull the effects off we can get a good mark even though there isn’t many effects .
S – We could have the teacher as an alien however no one ever sees him as that .
M – Is it achievable though .
S – I think the tornado we can do and the teacher turning into the alien however others we will have to research .
M – I got an idea we can use Twixtor and make some of the footage slow motion . Twixtor makes it very smooth .
C- What camera we could use for our filming ?
M – We can use mine which is a Canon 550D .
C – I think we could use both of the cameras the college one and your one .
M – I think it might be tricky as it will get confusing when we film and when we put the files together .
S – So what about the dialog ?
C – The dialog is that everyone talks .
S – So there is a lot of dialog through out the sequence .
M – What about casting ?
S – I think the casting will be the same as for everything else we can ask on facebook for people who can do it .
C – However my one has around 8 characters which will make it little harder .
S – What about the Location ?
C – We need to use the basketball court and the classroom I was thinking of before .
S – We will also need several different effects .
M – But is it possible ?
C – I think it will be challenging however we can do it .
S – So what script are we gonna do ?
C - Let’s look at the each others narrative and decide .
C – I think Moddy’s one is good however some of it is too typical . So we can take the part of bullying and incorporate that into the final product . Sharmin’s idea is a girl who has no friends and is bullied and someone who gains powers and later on falls in love with bully . I think something should happen to her so it changes her .
M – I think the editing part will be quite hard so it’s not very possible to make it seem like it real .
C – I think her having multiple powers is too much as it makes her seem like she is very powerful therefore we can just have her as one power .
M – I think her power could be hearing other people and we can do voice over for that .
C – I think it’s a good idea however it’s a bit of typical romantic story .

 From our production team meeting we have decided that we will combine the tbree scripts together for our final script .
